In Moses’ day —
consuming fire,
cloud and light.

God’s glory
made earth tremble,
kingdoms shake
and people cower
in the wake
of blazing lightning
from above.

But people now
ignore His grace,
and, taught of love,
they spurn His face.

Oh, God of thunder —
one more jolt,
to show them all
You still can shout!
